2012 MQA Mystery-Strip Surprise
I am currently working on the pattern for the MQA mystery class I will be teaching in June 2013 and thought I would share the mystery pattern from last year. It is all in one pdf file and hopefully I have figured out how to share it. If you want to work it as a mystery, you should only view one page at a time. Please let me know if you are working on it and send me pictures. I do want to thank my friends Claire and Anne for testing the pattern and offering their very helpful advice on the instructions. Click here for the pattern. You may need to be patient. It might take a little while to load.

Still Here
Believe it or not, I am still here. I have been working on a couple of mysteries. One will be taught in June and the other in January if all goes well. I plan to post each after I teach them. I may post one of the intro's after I get the June pattern finalized, so you can be thinking about it.

Mystery Sample Completed
I finished the sample mystery quilt Friday night at 12:30 a.m. or should I say Saturday morning. I presented it at a baby shower on Saturday afternoon. Nothing like having a deadline to get me to fininsh a project. I took a picture of the finished project, but I won't be sharing it with anyone until all of the steps are posted. :-) Everyone seemed to like it, so I hope those of you following this mystery will like it, too.

Stripper's 2010 Mystery
I have created a mystery quilt project for the Red Hot Friday Night Strippers. This will be a 2 color lap quilt. The project will begin with the February meeting. There will be 7 steps. I will post updates near the 3rd Friday of each month, which is when we meet at Janet's Quiltng Bee in Ocean Springs, MS at 5:30 pm,. Everyone is welcome to participate. Please join us. Just bring a covered dish and your sewing supplies. The fabric requirements and cutting instructions are available now. Click here

This quilt top is from a $5 block quilt project designed by Marti Michell. Janet's Quilting Bee offered the project which began with a $5 block. If you finish the block by the first business day of the month and bring it to the quilt shop, the next one is free. Of course you must purchase the remaining fabrics to finish the quilt. I totally enjoyed making the blocks and putting them together. Now to find the time to quilt it!

This is a picture from the cruise I took to Alaska last summer. It was wonderful. I was traveling with a good friend. There was plenty of good food, good service and spectacular scenery
. We even managed to find a few quilt shops on the trip.
The things I remember most were how many eagles there were, the brilliant colors of the glacier and how the mountains came right down to the water.
I hope to be able to visit Alaska again some day, maybe a trip by land next time.
